Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not water resistant, so it is important to seal your base before applying tiles. A cost effective method is to mix equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and coat all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, we recommend painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to protect against moisture. To ensure longevity, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
