Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not water resistant, so it is essential to seal your board before applying tiles. A simple and cost-effective method is to mix equal parts of water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and apply it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, we recommend painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to protect against moisture. For added durability, finish by sealing the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
