Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not resistant to moisture, so it is essential to seal your base before applying tiles. A cost effective way to do this is by mixing equal parts of water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and applying it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, we recommend painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to protect against moisture. To ensure long lasting durability, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
