Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not moisture resistant, so it is essential to seal your base before applying tiles. A budget friendly method is to mix equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and apply it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, we recommend painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to prevent moisture absorption. To enhance durability, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
