Made from MDF, this base is suitable for indoor use or sheltered areas where it won’t be exposed to direct moisture or wet weather.

Caring for Your MDF Board
MDF is highly sensitive to moisture, so sealing the base before tiling is essential. A cost effective method is to mix equal parts of water and PVA glue (Polyvinyl Acetate) and apply it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, paint the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to protect against moisture. For extra longevity, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
