Looking after your mosaic / MDF Board
MDF and moisture don’t mix, so these boards are strictly for interior use. To protect your base before applying tiles, we recommend sealing it with a 1:1 mix of water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate). Apply the mixture to all surfaces, including the sides and back, for the best results.
Once your mosaic is completed and grouted, it’s a good idea to paint the sides and back of your board with a couple of layers of paint to prevent moisture from creeping in. For added protection and longevity, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
