Caring for Your MDF Board

Since MDF is not water resistant, it’s essential to seal your board before starting your mosaic. An affordable and effective method is to mix equal parts of water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate), applying it to all surfaces, including the edges and back.

After your mosaic is completed and grouted, it’s recommended to paint the sides and back with a few layers of paint to prevent moisture from affecting the board. To ensure the longevity of your mosaic, seal the surface with a high quality grout sealer.
