Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not moisture resistant, so sealing the base before applying tiles is essential. A simple and cost effective way to do this is by mixing equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and applying it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint will help prevent moisture from creeping in. To enhance durability and longevity, finish by sealing the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
