Caring for Your MDF Board

MDF is not moisture resistant, so sealing the base before tiling is essential. A cost effective method is to mix equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and apply it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

After completing and grouting your mosaic, painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint will help prevent moisture penetration. To enhance durability, seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
