Caring for Your MDF Board

As MDF is not resistant to moisture, it is important to seal the base before applying tiles. A budget friendly method is to mix equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and apply it to all surfaces, including the sides and back.

Once your mosaic is complete and grouted, we recommend painting the sides and back with multiple layers of paint to protect against moisture. To extend the life of your mosaic, seal the surface with a high quality grout sealer.
